Geeta Basra Spends Birthday in Chandigarh with Celebrities and Dance

Chandigarh, March 13, 2025 – Geeta Basra, wife of ex-cricketer Harbhajan Singh and renowned actress, spent her birthday in a grand manner at a hotel in Chandigarh. The party was a star-studded one with some celebrities from the Punjabi film industry present on the occasion. Geeta was stunning in a beautiful dress as she cut her birthday cake amidst friends and family.

Among the guests of honor was Raj Kundra, who will be acting with Geeta in her new Punjabi film, Mehr. The celebration included energetic Punjabi music, and all the guests enjoyed dancing together. Geeta thanked everyone, stating, "I thank everyone for making this special day memorable. Your love and support mean a lot to me."

Apart from the birthday celebrations, Geeta also discussed her highly awaited film, Mehr. She announced that the movie, directed by Rakesh Mehta, is being shot currently. Geeta has an important role to play in the movie, which deals with love, relationships, and the significant moments of life.

Mehr is Geeta's second foray into Punjabi films and features Raj Kundra, among a stellar cast that includes Agamveer Singh, Baninder Bani, Savita Bhatti, and more. The movie promises to tell a rich cultural story of Punjab while centering on love and second chances.

Director Rakesh Mehta congratulated the lead actors' addition of emotional depth and said, "Punjabi cinema has come to an important juncture, and Mehr offers a blend of heart, emotion, and drama. Raj and Geeta add such richness to the roles, and on set there's already this kind of magic happening."

Raj Kundra, debuting in Punjabi cinema, expressed his enthusiasm for the film, stating, "The soul and warmth of Punjabi cinema is unparalleled, and Mehr captures it so beautifully. It has been a wonderful experience working with Rakesh Mehta and this talented team. I am eagerly waiting for the audience to experience what we have made."

The movie was announced on Lohri this year, and Raj Kundra posted the motion poster on social media, terming Mehr "a story of relationships, love, and life, inspired by the blessings that surround us." The title of the movie, Mehr, means blessings, and Raj requested the audience's love and prayers for the future.

Punjabi film buffs can expect Mehr, which is set to be a moving study of love and relationships in the cultural context of Punjab.
