A woman was killed and four others sustained injuries in a hit-and-run incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar, police said on Sunday.
According to officials, the accident occurred when a speeding vehicle allegedly rammed into pedestrians before fleeing the scene. The impact left the woman critically injured; she was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed during treatment. The four injured victims are currently undergoing medical care, and their condition is reported to be stable.
Eyewitnesses claimed that the vehicle was moving at high speed and showed no signs of slowing down before hitting the group. Locals immediately alerted authorities and assisted in transporting the injured to hospital facilities.
