Bucharest: Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Shri Jitin Prasada held a bilateral meeting with Romania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Ms Oana-Silvia Țoiu, in Bucharest on Tuesday. The Ministers also emphasised the importance of diversifying production networks and building resilient supply chains as trusted partners, ensuring long-term stability for businesses in both countries.
The meeting built on recent high-level exchanges between India and Romania, with both sides agreeing to maintain regular engagement to sustain momentum. They decided to coordinate follow-up actions aimed at streamlining trade procedures, developing a mobility toolkit, and enhancing investor outreach.
Shri Prasada said that India sees Romania as an important economic partner within the European Union, adding that closer cooperation would “open new avenues for trade, innovation, and employment.”
The visit reflected the shared vision of both nations to broaden economic cooperation and create new pathways for growth, investment, and skills-based mobility.
