Srinagar: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast largely dry conditions across Jammu and Kashmir until February 24, 2026, with no major rain or snowfall expected during this period.
According to the MeT office, February 15 and 16 will see generally dry weather in most parts of the Union Territory. However, isolated higher reaches may experience light snowfall during the night of February 16 and early morning of February 17.
From February 18 to 24, conditions are expected to remain predominantly dry, offering relief from frequent winter disturbances earlier this season. Daytime temperatures are likely to rise gradually under prolonged sunshine, while nights may stay cold, especially in higher altitude areas.
Looking ahead, February 25 and 26 may bring generally cloudy skies, with chances of light rain or snowfall at isolated locations. Dry weather is expected to resume on February 27 and 28.
Authorities have not issued any major weather advisories yet but have advised travellers to higher reaches to stay updated with local forecasts during the brief window of potential light snowfall.
