Actress Kriti Sanon has expressed serious concern over the worsening air pollution in the national capital. During the press conference for her upcoming film Tere Ishq Mein, Kriti discussed the movie in detail and also addressed Delhi’s alarming pollution levels.

Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) has hit 430, raising fears across the city  including for Kriti herself. Speaking at the event, she said, “If timely action is not taken, the situation will become even more severe. It is our responsibility to address this. The time has come to pay attention to this critical issue. If we don’t act now, things will only get worse.”

In the film, Kriti stars opposite Dhanush, and the project is being directed by Aanand L. Rai, who has described it as a spiritual sequel to Raanjhanaa. The movie will release in both Hindi and Tamil.

Notably, the shoot for another of Kriti’s films, Cocktail 2 with Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, had to be postponed due to the high pollution levels in Delhi, along with safety concerns following recent explosions in the city. As a Delhi-born actress and a responsible citizen, Kriti’s concern over the city’s deteriorating air quality is more than justified.
