At the launch of Modi’s Mission in Mumbai, Maharashtra governor Acharya Devvrat described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an extraordinary leader driven by a divine force. The event, attended by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, and author Berjis Desai, became a platform for effusive praise of the prime minister’s leadership and vision.

Devvrat said Modi’s actions and decisions were beyond ordinary human capability, portraying him as a figure shaped by higher purpose and spiritual strength. He cited examples such as the abrogation of Article 370 and the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya as signs of Modi’s unmatched resolve and transformative power. The governor also credited Modi with influencing global events, including facilitating safe evacuations during the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Eknath Shinde echoed similar sentiments, calling Modi’s leadership the driving force behind India’s progress and asserting that his work ethic and commitment have become symbols of national pride.

Author Berjis Desai’s book presents Modi as an “instrument of national awakening” and explores his journey from Gujarat chief minister to a global statesman. Desai compared Modi’s contribution to that of Mahatma Gandhi, predicting that future generations would remember Modi as a defining force in India’s centenary of independence in 2047.

Both Desai and Devvrat emphasised that Modi’s leadership stems from selflessness and public service rather than personal ambition. Shinde proposed that excerpts from the book should be included in school curricula to inspire students.

The event concluded with praise for Modi’s discipline, energy, and determination, with speakers portraying him as not just a political leader but a guiding spiritual presence shaping India’s destiny.
