Television actress Mahhi Vij, known for her roles in "Balika Vadhu" and "Laagi Tujhse Lagan," has been admitted to a Mumbai hospital after suffering from high fever and severe weakness. The hospitalization comes amid swirling rumors about her marriage to TV host Jay Bhanushali.
According to a statement from her publicist Avantika Sinha, Vij is currently stable and undergoing medical tests to determine the cause of her illness. "She's been running a high fever and is feeling quite weak. Doctors have started the necessary tests, but we can't confirm anything beyond that for now. She is stable and being well cared for," Sinha told media outlets.
The health scare follows days of speculation about Vij's marriage to Bhanushali. Several reports had suggested the couple might be heading for separation claims Mahhi vehemently denied in recent media interactions, calling them "completely false and hurtful."
"Until you hear it from me, please don't believe anything," Vij stated, emphasizing that such rumors not only invade their privacy but also affect their children emotionally. She stressed that Jay remains a wonderful father and significant part of their family, urging people to respect their private space.
Vij also mentioned dealing with false media reports has been particularly taxing as her mother is unwell.
Despite health challenges, Mahhi has officially announced her television return after a nine-year break. She recently began shooting for the Colors TV show "Seher Hone Ko Hai." In her latest vlog, the actress expressed excitement about returning to the small screen, also showcasing a gift Jay brought from his Japan trip as a supportive gesture.
Fans have flooded social media with heartfelt messages wishing the actress a speedy recovery, though her comeback now appears temporarily on hold as she focuses on regaining health.
