Maraguda Festival Returns After 12 Years; Odisha CM Majhi Announces ₹320 Cr Projects in Nuapada

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi cut the ribbon at 26 projects totaling Rs 103.49 crore on his visit to Nuapada district on Friday.

As a chief guest, the CM attended Maraguda Festival-2025 at the mini stadium here and also laid the foundation stone for 35 new projects totaling Rs 217.49 crore.

Speaking to the crowd, Majhi vowed that a developed and prosperous Odisha would come into being before the BJP completes 12 years in power in the state. He assured all that schemes of the BJP government for the poor would reach every section of society and gave indications of greater developmental efforts in the near future.

Elated to participate in the Maraguda Festival, organized after a 12-year hiatus, the CM expressed his gratitude for visiting Nuapada during the festive season.

Comparing it to the sacred Nabakalebara of Lord Jagannath, Majhi called the revival of the festival a sign of cultural renewal. "Like Nabakalebara, the Maraguda Festival has come back this year with a new and reborn identity, showcasing the special tradition of this land," he said. During the day, the CM arrived at Gotma airstrip around 5 pm and made a short halt at Gayatri temple before reaching the festival ground.
