Mega Enrollment Drive Held at Govt Middle School Yamrach, Kulgam

Kulgam, March 10: A mega enrollment drive was successfully organized at Government Middle School, Yamrach, Yaripora, Kulgam, as part of a larger initiative to increase student admissions in government schools across Kashmir. The campaign, spanning 15 days, aims to ensure free and quality education for every child in the region.


The event was attended by Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Dr. G. N. Itoo, as the chief guest, along with the Chief Education Officer Kulgam, Zonal Education Officer Yaripora, and other senior officials from the education department.


Addressing the gathering, Dr. Itoo emphasized the importance of enrolling out-of-school children, reaffirming the government's dedication to providing accessible education for all. He commended the proactive efforts of school heads, teachers, and students in mobilizing the community to enroll children in government schools.


He also highlighted the implementation of a robust monitoring system by the School Education Department to ensure the success of the campaign and prevent any child from being left behind.


The enrollment drive at Yamrach saw enthusiastic participation from local communities, school authorities, and students, reflecting a growing awareness of the importance of education. Parents were encouraged to seize this opportunity and enroll their children in government schools, which offer free and high-quality education.


Additionally, officials shared that over 85% of books have already been distributed across the Kashmir Valley, ensuring that students receive the necessary learning materials on time.


This initiative is part of the School Education Department’s broader mission to strengthen the public education system and create better learning opportunities for children throughout Kashmir.
