Just a few more days to go before Kolkata turns completely Messi-crazy. Excitement is already at its peak over Lionel Messi’s India tour. Besides Kolkata, the football legend will also visit Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi. Organiser Shatadru Dutta has laid out multiple plans for the “GOAT Tour,” especially for Messi’s stay in Kolkata. He will be treated to a variety of Bengali delicacies and even dressed in a traditional dhoti-panjabi.
Messi will be in India from December 13 to 15, starting his journey in Kolkata. As per sources, Shah Rukh Khan may join him at the Salt Lake Stadium on December 13. Amid this speculation, Shatadru shared the entire plan, which also includes Luis Suárez and Rodrigo De Paul.
Messi will be dressed in Bengali attire, and several gifts have been arranged for him. Bengal’s art and culture will be displayed before him. A saree has been chosen for his wife Antonella. A special idol made in Krishnanagar will depict Messi’s entire family.
As for food, Messi will be served ilish, chingri, and of course, desserts nolen gur rosogolla and mishti doi.
