India’s decisive military campaign, Operation Sindoor, was prominently showcased at the 77th Republic Day Parade on Kartavya Path on Monday, highlighting the country’s growing emphasis on joint warfare and integrated defence capabilities. The Tri-Services tableau, themed “Victory Through Jointness,” symbolised the combined strength and coordination of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force.
The tableau visually depicted how the three forces worked in close coordination during Operation Sindoor, demonstrating India’s resolve to respond firmly to cross-border terrorism and emerging security threats. The display featured representations of the Air Force’s precision air strikes, the Navy’s rapid maritime manoeuvres to secure sea dominance, and the Army’s coordinated ground operations, underlining a unified and technology-driven approach to modern warfare.
Operation Sindoor was launched in the early hours of May 7, following a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam last year that claimed the lives of over two dozen tourists. The operation targeted terror camps located deep inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), marking one of India’s most significant joint military actions in recent years.
According to official accounts, the four-day conflict that followed saw Pakistan attempting missile strikes on Indian cities. These attacks were successfully intercepted and neutralised by India’s air defence systems, further showcasing the country’s growing defensive and surveillance capabilities.
The operation was paused on May 10 after a ceasefire was initiated at the request of Pakistani military commanders, who reportedly sought to halt further losses. Indian defence officials have described Operation Sindoor as a clear message of India’s readiness to act decisively and in a coordinated manner to protect national security.
The Tri-Services tableau at the Republic Day Parade served not only as a tribute to the armed forces but also as a public display of India’s shift towards integrated command structures, joint planning, and future-ready military operations. The showcase reinforced the message that India’s defence forces are united, modernised, and prepared to respond swiftly to any threat.
