Prime Minister Narendra Modi held an online interaction with BJP booth workers from Bihar through the NaMo app on Wednesday, ahead of the upcoming state Assembly elections. During the session, he connected with a woman worker from Darbhanga who expressed her support for him and her team’s campaign efforts. Modi asked her not to address him formally and instead consider him as a brother, reflecting a personal touch in his outreach to party members.
In the interaction, the Prime Minister emphasised the crucial role of women in strengthening the BJP’s grassroots network. He described women’s participation as the party’s core strength and urged both male and female workers to intensify their booth-level engagement. Modi advised them to visit every household multiple times, organise local gatherings, and directly communicate government initiatives and welfare schemes to voters.
He highlighted that each booth worker represents him in their locality and must ensure that people are aware of the Centre’s development efforts in Bihar. The interaction also came on a day when the BJP released its second list of 12 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly polls. The list includes singer Maithili Thakur contesting from Alinagar and former IPS officer Anand Mishra from Buxar.
Bihar will vote in two phases on November 6 and 11, with counting scheduled for November 14. The party’s campaign strategy aims to blend Modi’s personal appeal with local outreach, focusing on women empowerment and grassroots mobilisation as key factors in the election push.
