NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted the 120th installment of his radio program, Mann ki Baat, on Sunday. He wished all people well for the Navratri and Gudi Padwa celebrations. He also launched a new calendar named "MY-Bharat" that would assist students in utilizing their summer vacation to the fullest.

"Despite our festivals being celebrated across various places in the country, they strengthen the oneness amidst India's diversity. We have to keep building this spirit of unity as we go ahead," he said.

Addressing students who were going to start a new school session heading into summer breaks, PM Modi asked them to remain productive.

"I urge children and parents to post their holiday experiences using #HolidayMemories," he said.

"I also want to speak about the special MY-Bharat calendar for this summer break. I am looking forward to sharing some interesting activities incorporated in this calendar," he continued.

Some important quotes from the program are below:

"Today is the Pratipada date of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Chaitra. Chaitra Navratri starts today, and today also the Indian New Year begins. There will be many festivities in the country from April 13 to 15, so this month is a festival-filled month. I wish all of you a very warm happy Navratri."

"Dear young friends, I would like to give you information about the MY-Bharat calendar prepared for your summer break. It has some special opportunities. Through the study tour of MY-Bharat, you can gain knowledge about how our 'Jan Aushadhi Kendras' work. You can also get a taste of life in border villages by joining the active village campaign."

Our classical games are getting to be a major aspect of contemporary popular culture these days. You may already know of the famous rapper Hanumankind. His new song, "Run It Up," is making waves. It has our classic Martial Arts such as Kalaripayadu, Gatka, and Thang-Ta.

India ranks third in the world for generating the most textile waste, which presents a significant challenge for us. However, I’m glad to see that many great initiatives are being launched in our country to tackle this issue. Numerous Indian start-ups are focusing on textile recovery, and there are teams dedicated to supporting our brothers and sisters who work as waste pickers.

By conserving raindrops, we can ensure that a tremendous amount of water is not lost. In recent years, water conservation has improved dramatically in a large number of areas of the country as part of this drive. Interesting fact: in the last 7-8 years, we have conserved more than 11 billion cubic meters of water through the installation of new tanks, ponds, and other water recharging systems.

An amazing event in Delhi has actually inspired people and made them energetic. The Fit India Carnival was organized for the first time as an innovative concept, and about 25,000 individuals from different regions participated. They all had the same intention: to remain healthy and spread awareness of fitness.

Just the other day, at the Khelo India Para Games, the sports persons stunned everyone with their dedication and abilities.
