PM Modi Pays Tribute to RSS Founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar in Nagpur

PM Modi's Nagpur Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday reached Nagpur, Maharashtra, where he paid floral tributes to RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar at Smruti Mandir in Reshimbagh.

Along with him, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and other leaders also paid their tributes. Mohan Bhagwat also offered his respects.

PM Modi arrived at Nagpur approximately at 9 am and was received at the airport by Nitin Gadkari, Devendra Fadnavis, and other cabinet members of the Maharashtra government. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat had arrived at Smruti Mandir prior to PM Modi.

The Prime Minister also plans to visit Deekshabhoomi, the location where Ambedkar embraced Buddhism along with thousands of his supporters in 1956, to pay his respects to Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Following a visit to Smruti Mandir, PM Modi will proceed to Deekshabhoomi. At around 10 am, he will lay the foundation stone for the Madhav Netralaya Premium Centre in Nagpur and address a public meeting.

Subsequently, at around 12:30 pm, he will inaugurate the Loitering Munition Testing Range and the UAV runway facility at Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited in Nagpur.

The PMO states, "Prime Minister Modi will perform the foundation laying ceremony of the Madhav Netralaya Premium Centre, an extension of the Madhav Netralaya Eye Institute & Research Centre, a premium super-specialty eye care hospital set up in 2014 at Nagpur."

As part of his visit, the Prime Minister will also visit the ammunition plant at Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited to inaugurate a new 1250-meter-long and 25-meter-wide airstrip for Unarmed Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and a testing ground for live munition for Loitering Munitions and other guided weapons.

Prime Minister Modi will proceed later today to Chhattisgarh in order to inaugurate a number of development projects.

"In Chhattisgarh, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation, initiate the work, and dedicate various development initiatives in power, oil and gas, railways, roads, education, and housing sectors worth over Rs 33,700 crore in Bilaspur," the statement read.
