PM Modi to gift projects worth Rs3,884 cr to Kashi on April 11

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the holy city of Varanasi on April 11. During this visit, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone as well as inaugurate various development projects in Kashi region. The overall projects would worth approximately ₹3,884 crore, as stated by the government.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate completed projects worth around ₹1,629 crore, while laying project stones for new projects totaling ₹2,255 crore.

Kashi zone BJP president Dilip Patel said that the Prime Minister will arrive at Varanasi at 9:30 am on April 11. Mr. Modi would then participate in a LARGE public meeting held in Mehdiganj. At least 50,000 people are expected to be in attendance. This public meeting has both political and social significance and is attended by members of all strata of society including farmers, businessmen, students, women and academics.

Varanasi is abuzz with the arrival of the Prime Minister. Since April 6 to April 10, a sanitation mission is being conducted at different locations in the city, predominantly within temples, intersections, parks and various statues of prominent figures.

The Prime Minister is to inaugurate the subsequent projects: two (2) 400 kV transformer substations, 130 rural drinking water schemes (over ₹345 crores), Sardar Patel Government Degree College located in Barkir (₹7.6 crores), among other three (3) 400 kV transformers substations and power lines in Mosli Town, Chandauli.
