NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Mumbai on Wednesday, October 29 to address the Maritime Leaders Conclave and chair the Global Maritime CEO Forum during India Maritime Week 2025, being held at the NESCO Exhibition Centre. His address is scheduled for around 4:00 PM.

The Global Maritime CEO Forum, the flagship event of India Maritime Week, will bring together top executives from global maritime companies, major investors, policymakers, innovators, and international partners. The discussions will focus on strengthening sustainable maritime growth, building resilient global supply chains, promoting green shipping, and advancing inclusive blue economy strategies.

The Prime Minister’s participation highlights his commitment to India’s long-term maritime vision under the Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047. The vision is built on four strategic pillars, port-led development, shipping and shipbuilding, seamless logistics, and maritime skill-building, aimed at transforming India into a global maritime power.

India Maritime Week 2025, being organised from October 27 to 31 under the theme “Uniting Oceans, One Maritime Vision”, serves as the Government of India’s premier global platform to advance maritime collaboration and investment. It showcases India’s strategic plan to become a leading hub for shipping, shipbuilding, cruise tourism, and blue economy finance.

This year’s edition will witness participation from over 85 countries, with more than 1,00,000 delegates, 500 exhibitors, and 350 international speakers. The event underscores India’s growing role in shaping the future of global maritime trade and innovation through policy reform, technological advancement, and sustainable practices.

The conclave is expected to generate key insights for strengthening India’s maritime ecosystem and accelerating its integration into the global blue economy.
