Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished women in the country and the world on the occasion of International Women's Day. He said that when we talk about women in the various fields of life, their contribution has been invaluable, and reiterated the commitment of his government towards women empowerment, equality, and opportunity." On his social media platform, PM Modi remembered the great strength, talent, along with achievement exhibited by women in India and elsewhere.

He thanked women for their significant contributions in science, technology, politics, business, education, sports, and social work. He also noted that women build families and communities and called them the pillars of progress." In his message, the PM stressed the women-led development and explained how in India, an inclusive society is being created, giving equal opportunity for women to scale heights. He pointed to various government initiatives such as Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Ujjwala Yojana, Mudra Yojana, and Mission Shakti meant for women empowerment along with gender equality.

PM Modi also asked citizens to appreciate and give recognition to the work done by women, not only on this particular day but throughout the year. He called on society to join this effort towards breaking barriers, ensuring their safety, and giving each and every woman the freedom to pursue integrated and sublime dreams without restrictions." As India marches ahead in becoming a global leader, PM Modi restated the feeling that the active participation of women in every sphere remains substantively vital. "Take a leaf out of the real-life stories of women victorious against all odds and who have contributed to the nation's cause," he urged.
