Ram Charan's long-awaited 16th film has been officially declared to be Peddi, and the first look was unveiled on his 40th birthday, March 27, 2025. Peddi is being directed by National Award winner Buchi Babu Sana and will feature Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role and Ram Charan.
The movie posters show Ram Charan in a rustic and aggressive avatar with unkempt hair, a wild beard, and sharp eyes. He is presented wearing rough garments and with a cigar, sporting a violent air that reflects roots deep in the countryside.
He holds a weathered cricket bat on one of the posters with a rural stadium illuminated by floodlights in the background, opening up the idea that sports and drama have intertwined themes within the story.
helmed by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas banner and released by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings, Peddi is produced on a record scale with high-end production values.
The film also boasts of lead actors Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma, music by AR Rahman.
With Peddi creating a buzz, everyone can't help but wait and see how Ram Charan's shift to this role will resonate on the silver screen.
