A shocking video recorded inside an SUV has surfaced, showing the moments leading up to the fatal crash that killed 23-year-old Sahil Dhaneshra in Delhi earlier this month. The footage has raised serious concerns about reckless driving and social media influence among young drivers.
The video, reportedly shot on February 3, shows a teenager driving a Scorpio SUV at high speed on a road without a divider. A girl seated in the passenger seat can be seen filming a social media reel while the vehicle speeds dangerously, narrowly avoiding a bus moments before the collision. Authorities believe the video was recorded shortly before the fatal accident occurred.
According to police, the crash took place at around 11:57 am near Lal Bahadur Shastri College in Dwarka. When officers reached the scene, they found a major collision involving the Scorpio SUV, a Swift Dzire taxi, and the motorcycle ridden by Sahil Dhaneshra. Sahil suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead.
The victim’s family later shared the video clip, alleging that the footage had been trimmed and did not show the exact moment of impact. Sahil’s mother has demanded strict action against those responsible, claiming the reckless driving directly led to her son’s death.
The case has drawn widespread public attention after being reported by media outlets. It has also sparked debate about irresponsible driving, especially among teenagers creating reels while driving.
Police have already taken legal action in the matter and continue to investigate the incident. Officials are examining the video as crucial evidence to determine the sequence of events and establish accountability.
The tragic incident highlights growing concerns over dangerous driving habits and the misuse of social media, which continue to pose serious risks on India’s roads.
