He was immediately taken off the field and admitted to the hospital, where doctors conducted several tests and advised him to take a few days of rest.
After spending several days under observation, doctors permitted his discharge on Friday. The board confirmed that Iyer will remain under rest for some time before starting rehabilitation. He will return to the national side only after he’s completely fit.
