A powerful and exciting project has been announced in Bollywood recently - renowned director Rohit Shetty and action hero John Abraham are working together for the first time. They are coming together to make a biopic based on the life of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria.

Rakesh Maria is known as one of India's most astute police officers. His name is associated with important investigations in the country's history like the 1993 Mumbai blasts and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks of 2008. The film will be based on his autobiography Let Me Say It Now. In this autobiography, he has revealed many unknown chapters of his professional life, which is at once thrilling, heartbreaking and deeply influential.

The film is directed and produced by Rohit Shetty, who is famous for popular series like 'Singham', 'Sooryavanshi' and 'Golmaal'. This time he is coming up with a different, realistic, political and police investigation-based tough story.

The shooting of the film will begin from April 18, 2025, and the shooting will continue for 45 days. The budget of the film is estimated to be around Rs 100 crore. Shetty wants to wrap up the shooting of the film by June, so that he can focus on his other projects.

John Abraham will be seen in the role of Rakesh Maria in the film. John has played the role of a policeman many times before, but this is the first time that he is going to play the role of a real-life police officer. John has already started studying police training, mannerisms and Maria's work in depth to maintain the reality of the character.

This film is not just a biopic, but it is going to be a reflection of a fiery chapter in Indian intelligence, politics, terrorism and the rule of law. Political corruption, religious tensions, police challenges and personal moral conflicts will all come together in this story.

When a new wave of biopics is going on in Bollywood, the life of a real hero like Rakesh Maria is undoubtedly significant to come on the big screen. It's not just entertaining but also an educational experience for the audience based on history and reality.
