Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru tied the knot on December 1 in a serene yogic wedding ceremony at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore. A day after the couple shared their first wedding photos, Raj’s ex-wife, writer and healer Shhyamali De, posted her first reaction on social media sparking curiosity online.
Shhyamali shared an Instagram story featuring an image of the vast universe with an arrow pointing to a tiny planet, captioned, “We live here.” The quiet, philosophical tone of the post caught attention as it came soon after Samantha and Raj officially announced their wedding. Earlier, a day before the ceremony, she had also posted the cryptic line: “Desperate people do desperate things,” which quickly went viral as users tried guessing its intended target.
Last week, Shhyamali had also shared a reflective message about “letting go,” quoting a verse from the Padma Purana. She explained that relationships formed through karmic bonds eventually fade once past debts are cleared hinting at acceptance and closure after her separation from Raj.
Raj and Samantha were rumoured to be dating since 2024 and are believed to have gotten engaged in February 2025. In their wedding pictures, Samantha wore a large ring she had reportedly been wearing since February 13, a detail fans revisited after the announcement. Wishes poured in from celebrities and fans, including a warm message from David Beckham that Samantha happily acknowledged.
This marks Samantha’s second marriage after her divorce from Naga Chaitanya in 2021. Raj, who married Shhyamali in 2015, is believed to have separated from her in 2022. The new couple has collaborated on The Family Man 2, Citadel: Honey Bunny, and Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom.
