Actor Soha Ali Khan welcomed the New Year with her family at a luxurious wilderness retreat near Udaipur, blending royal comfort with the serenity of nature. Accompanied by husband Kunal Kemmu and daughter Inaaya, the actress chose Chunda Shikar Odui, a heritage-style resort nestled amid forests just 20 minutes from Udaipur airport, for a quiet and meaningful start to 2026.
Sharing glimpses of the getaway on Instagram, Soha offered a peek into their forest escape, featuring wildlife safaris, local cuisine, and moments of calm away from city life. In her caption, she described the experience as grounding and memorable, highlighting birdsong-filled mornings, warm hospitality, and even a rare leopard sighting. She also reflected on the importance of protecting forests rather than treating them as mere tourist destinations.
Chunda Shikar Odui is spread across nearly 150 hectares of woodland and overlooks a serene lake, offering guests a taste of Mewar-era royalty. The resort’s design draws inspiration from traditional palatial architecture, with hand-painted walls, ornate ceilings, and sweeping views of the Udaipur skyline.
The property offers spacious suites and private pool villas. Suites, measuring around 900 sq. ft., are priced at approximately Rs 70,800 per person per night, inclusive of meals. The expansive pool villa, spread across 5,000 sq. ft. and accommodating up to six guests, costs around Rs 1.5 lakh per person per night with all meals included.
Guests can indulge in curated experiences such as wildlife safaris, bird-watching at Menar Lake, boating, fishing, nature treks, stargazing, horse riding, pottery sessions, and village visits to explore local culture.
Soha Ali Khan’s New Year celebration stood out not for glamour alone, but for its emphasis on family time, nature, and mindful luxury, setting a calm, hopeful tone for the year ahead.
