Bollywood actor Sunny Deol's new movie, Jaat, experienced a jump in its figures on its third day on Saturday following a poor show at the box office on Friday. The movie experienced a massive increase in its collections as it made a record Rs 10 crore on the third day.

As per industry monitor Sacnilk, Jaat registered 16.70 per cent occupancy for its main Hindi language. Though the movie began with Rs 9.50 crore on Thursday, April 10, it fell to Rs 7 crore on Friday. But again on Saturday, it shot up to Rs 10 crore, and so the overall box office collection of the Sunny Deol movie is now Rs 26.50 crore.

The movie registered a growth in its figures even as several shows of the movie were reportedly cancelled in various Indian cities. As per a report in Indian Express, about 400 shows of Jaat were cancelled in Mumbai, Delhi and other Indian cities due to its sub-par box office figures on day one.

The producers now have all their expectations riding on the good word of mouth for the movie in the market. Critically as well, the reviews of the movie were on the plus side. Jaat will be expected to see another surge on Sunday, and time will tell if Deol will be able to pass the weekend test with flying colours.

Jaat also features Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher, Urvashi Rautela and Ayesha Khan in important roles. The movie sees Deol returning to silver screens after 1.5 years, and his previous film was Gadar 2, which devastated the box office and was also one of the highest-grossing films in 2023.
