Taapsee Pannu and writer-producer Kanika Dhillon have officially completed the shooting of their revenge drama, Gandhari. Led by director Devashish Makhija, known for his works on Bhonsle, Joram, and Ajji, the film has been produced under Kanika's Kathha Pictures banner.
Kanika posted on social media that the film was done, sharing pictures from behind the scenes with cast and crew, who included the lead actors, Taapsee Pannu and Ishwak Singh. Completing, she wrote, "It's a wrap! The last take may be done, but the story is just beginning. Gandhari, coming soon! See you at the movies."
This will be yet another endeavor shared between the two flaming talents after the whirlwind success of projects like Manmarziyaan, Haseen Dilruba, and Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba. Shot over 50 days in Mumbai and Maharashtra, the film promises Taapsee in an action mode, playing a mother on a mission.
Speaking of the film, Kanika said, "Gandhari has been a fulfilling yet challenging journey. Taapsee put her blood and soul into this film. We can't wait to have the world watch it."
Taapsee states, reflecting back on a particularly physically and mentally demanding shoot, "We really pushed ourselves to finish this film in record time. I was like the new intern, putting my all into every shot. My part is now done, and I can't wait to see what our hard work has achieved!"
The last time we saw Taapsee, she was in Khel Khel Mein opposite Akshay Kumar. There is no announcement yet for the release date of Gandhari.
