Three Indian-origin men have been arrested following a violent shootout between rival tow-truck groups in Brampton, Canada, while authorities continue searching for a fourth suspect. The incident, which occurred on October 7 around 10:45 pm local time, took place in a parking lot near McVean Drive and Castlemore Road. During the altercation, gunshots were fired, injuring one person, though the injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.
After a detailed investigation, Peel Regional Police identified three suspects linked to one of the groups. On November 20, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Caledon, arresting the individuals identified as Manjot Bhatti, Navjot Bhatti, and Amanjot Bhatti.
Manjot Bhatti faces multiple charges, including intentional reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, careless storage of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, and knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm. He was released on bail, with a hearing pending at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
Navjot and Amanjot Bhatti are accused of traveling in a vehicle while aware of the firearm’s presence inside. Both were released on an undertaking and are required to appear in court at a later date.
Authorities are still searching for the primary shooter, described as a South Asian male, last seen in the video wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and white running shoes. Peel Regional Police have urged anyone with information regarding the fourth suspect to come forward.
The shocking footage of the shootout has raised concerns over public safety in Brampton, highlighting ongoing tensions between rival groups. Police confirmed that the investigation remains active and assured residents that all efforts are being made to apprehend the remaining suspect.
