Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha welcomed Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar upon his arrival in Srinagar for his maiden two-day official visit to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
During the visit, the Vice President is scheduled to engage with local leaders, administrative officials, and representatives from various sectors to assess developmental initiatives and ongoing projects in the region. Officials said the itinerary includes discussions on education, healthcare, infrastructure, and tourism, highlighting government efforts to boost regional development.
LG Sinha, while welcoming Dhankhar, emphasised the importance of such high-level visits in strengthening governance, fostering public engagement, and supporting policy implementation in Jammu and Kashmir. He also highlighted recent achievements in administration, development projects, and public welfare schemes.
The Vice President’s visit is expected to include interactions with students, entrepreneurs, and community leaders, reflecting a focus on people-centric development. Officials noted that the engagement will also underline the central government’s commitment to supporting socio-economic growth and stability in the region.
