Isha Ambani to be named chairperson of Reliance retail unit

India’s billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Isha Ambani is set to become Reliance retail unit’s chairperson. The naming of Isha Ambani as the next head is expected to come today, on Wednesday. 

Currently, Isha is acting as a director of Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd. This came after her brother Akash Ambani was appointed as chairman of the telecom unit, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. Both sister-brother duo has been associated with a team that deals with negotiation with Meta Platfomr Inc’s investment in Reliance. Isha Ambani is 30 years old and has graduated from Yale University. 

Meanwhile, the apex court has put a halt on the order from Tripura High Court to summon Home Ministry officials over an appeal that raises questions against the security provided to Mukesh Ambani and his family.
