Mukesh and Nita Ambani meet Donald Trump before his inauguration

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Reliance Foundation Founder Nita Ambani are among the biggies and foreign leaders to attend the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump.

US President-elect Donald Trump will be sworn in on Monday (Jan 20) as the 47th US President.
Earlier in the day Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani met Donald Trump and congratulated him for his win yesterday.

The Ambanis landed in Washington DC on Saturday to attend the inauguration events. They were also part of the select 100 who attended a 'candlelit dinner' with Trump on Saturday night, according to reports.

The two were the only Indians at the dinner where Vice President-elect JD and Usha Vance also met them.

The Ambanis will attend the Jan 20 inauguration as personal invitees of the Trump family. They will sit on the dais with other biggies including Trump’s Cabinet nominees and elected officials.

The Ambanis are close to the Trump family and Mukesh Ambani was present when Ivanka Trump, daughter of Donald Trump, visited Hyderabad for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in 2017. Ivanka was an advisor to President Trump then.

He was also present when Trump visited India last as US President in Feb 2020. Ivanka, her husband Jared Kushner and their eldest daughter Arabella Rose were among the A-listers who attended the three-day pre-wedding celebrations of Ambani's youngest son Anant and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar, Gujarat in March 2020.
It will be a big event. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris along with their spouses First Lady Jill Biden and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff and former Presidents Barack Obama, George W Bush and Bill Clinton will attend.

The world’s three richest people - tech entrepreneur and Trump’s biggest supporter Elon Musk, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Apple CEO Tim Coo,k and Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg will sit on the dais.

Also OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi.
