Over 10,000 to join inaugural Indian Navy Half Marathon

Indian Navy to host first ever Indian Navy Half Marathon on Feb 2 in Delhi. Over 10,000 participants to take part in 3 categories. 21.1 km, 10 km, and 5 km runs. Inclusive event for all runners. 


Preparations are on to make it a memorable experience for all. The event will be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium with the race route covering India Gate and Kartavya Path. INHM will be flagged off by Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, Shri Mansukh L Mandaviya.


“With this inaugural edition, the Indian Navy reaffirms its commitment to foster a culture of health, resilience, and camaraderie. We eagerly anticipate an exhilarating race day on 2nd Feb 25 and look forward to welcoming all participants to this spectacular sporting event in the heart of New Delhi,” said a statement. 


Senior officers and distinguished guests from Armed Forces, civilian dignitaries and sportspersons will also be present.


This is part of The Indian Navy Slam, a prestigious award given to those who complete all four events organized by Indian Navy in Kochi, Visakhapatnam, Mumbai, and Delhi. This award embodies the discipline and tenacity of Indian Navy, the grit and determination of the runners. 


Delhi Police and New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) have played a key role in making the event a success. The event is to celebrate fitness, discipline, and national pride. With a great race route, dignitaries and support of key partners, the event will motivate all participants.
