India Could Have Offered Bigger Bailout to Pakistan: Rajnath Singh

In a surprising statement on Sunday, Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh asserted that India could have extended a more significant bailout package to Pakistan if diplomatic relations between the two nations had been friendlier. Singh's comments came during an address on India’s foreign policy stance, where he highlighted the importance of maintaining peaceful ties with neighboring countries.

"Had Pakistan maintained a cordial relationship with India, we would have been in a position to offer them a much larger financial aid package," Singh stated. His remarks come amid growing economic challenges faced by Pakistan, which has sought international assistance to stabilize its economy.

Singh further emphasized that India’s economic strength and goodwill have allowed it to assist neighboring nations in times of need. He pointed out that strained relations with Pakistan have made it difficult to offer the same level of support that India has extended to other countries in the region.

The Defence Minister's statement underscores the long-standing tensions between India and Pakistan, which have often hindered diplomatic and economic cooperation. While India has offered smaller aid packages in the past, Singh’s comments suggest that a more robust relationship could have opened the door to substantial financial assistance.

As Pakistan continues to grapple with economic instability, Singh’s remarks have sparked discussions about the broader implications of strained India-Pakistan ties on regional stability and cooperation.
