Begging Menace in Kashmir

Begging is not seen as positive development for any society.  Begging now looks a serious issue in Kashmir and many other regions of country. 

Begging has taken an epidemic shape in Kashmir. The phenomenon of begging has spread much widely  in our community. Beggars can usually be seen walking around places where people gather such as markets, petrol stations and even residential neighborhoods where they knock on doors of houses at anytime, seeking help.

A lot of Beggars are seen outside Mosques jostled together especially on the eve of Friday prayers causing lot of inconvenience.  The beggars be that local or non local need to introspect and not make it a profession. The need of the hour is also to take strict action against this menace by the authorities.

Be they markets or homes Beggars have made life of people highly uncomfortable.  

It is tragic to note that olden days even those who took to this profession had some kind of a dignity and self-respect, but now that is no more the case. Today most of them are actors who even insist you give them money, or else, he/she may insult you.

The need of the hour is to initiate a strict action especially meaningless begging .
