Drone Didi revolutionizing agriculture in India

Agriculture is the mainstay of economy of India. A large population of our great country depends on agriculture.

We live in age of technology. 

Drone technology use in agriculture has been one of the game changing inventions. In agriculture sector of India too the drone technology is now being used . Agriculture is also the mainstay of global economy  and technologies like Drone Technology are needed to give new and great direction to the Agriculture sector.

 In the year 2024 it was stated , the agricultural drone market is expected to grow from a $1.2 billion(USD) industry in 2019 to $4.8 billion in 2024. From scouting to security, drone use will be a great development for large and small scale farms in a few short years. 

We need to bear in mind that the information gathered by drones on farms is often used to better inform agronomic decisions and is part of a system generally referred to as ‘precision agriculture’.

Last year we had seen, 

Among the 6,000-odd invitees to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Independence Day speech at the Red Fort in Delhi were two special guests from Madhya Pradesh who have given a new dimension to rural women’s empowerment with their tech-based intervention in farming, earning the moniker ‘Drone Didi’.

It is a great pride for our country that "Drone Didi" reflects positivity of India, particularly in the context of women empowerment and entrepreneurship. 

As a matter of fact, it refers to women who are pioneering the use of drones in various fields especially the all important field of agriculture.

It is heartning to note that These "Drone Didis" are symbols of great things especially smashing stereotypes and showcasing the real potential of women in tech-driven industries.
