Internet has been one of the game-changing inventions for humanity. Internet has made our world a global village. Today most of the official work is carried by help of Internet. In this day and age, life without Internet is impossible. Internet addiction is among the biggest addictions hitting the youth of Jammu and Kashmir and other parts of the country. Without doubt the internet as invention has Made life easy and through social media connected entire world but as they excess of everything is bad. Too much of internet use is killing the social life of youth and also leading them to wrong path. Unfortunately, this internet addiction is on rise and even all important sleep pattern of especially children is getting hit hard. Over a quarter of adolescents aged 13 to 17 years spend six hours or longer per day on smartphones or digital devices, according to a nationwide survey that experts say has deepened concerns about digital-era addictions. The need of the hour is we raise awareness that Internet should be used but not at the cost of our health. We need to use Internet in a judicious manner. Being glued to Internet for more than 20 hours a day will destroy both mental and physical health.
It is very crucial that Parents, educators, and policymakers must frame a work policy to ensure healthy internet habits, set screen time limits, and encourage physical activity and outdoor play. By finding a balance between technology use and other aspects of life, we can harness the benefits of the internet while protecting our well-being and fostering a healthier relationship with digital devices.
