Srinagar, June 21:In view of the prevailing heatwave conditions, the Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday announced a 15-day summer vacation for all government and recognized private schools across the Kashmir division, starting from June 23 to July 7, 2025.

A senior official from the School Education Department confirmed the development, stating, “All schools in the Kashmir division will remain closed from June 23 to July 7 as temperatures continue to rise sharply.”

The official further said that schools will reopen on July 8, and a formal order in this regard will be issued shortly.

The decision has been taken to ensure the health and safety of students and staff as the region experiences unusually high temperatures. The vacation will offer much-needed relief to children and educators during this period of intense heat.
