Kulgam, July 5: Jammu and Kashmir’s Education Minister, Sakina Itoo, on Saturday said that the government will take a final decision on extending summer vacations on Sunday in view of the ongoing heatwave across the region.
Addressing media, the minister said the department has been receiving numerous requests from concerned parents and students regarding the health impact of the rising temperatures.
“We have received many calls from worried parents and students urging us to consider extending the summer break,” she said, adding that the department is actively assessing the situation and all aspects will be considered before announcing a decision.
