Bollywood's popular actor Aamir Khan and talented director Rajkumar Hirani are going to work together again after almost 11 years. This time they have joined hands on a special project - a biopic based on the life of Dadasaheb Phalke, the father of Indian cinema.
The film is not only going to be based on the life story of Dadasaheb Phalke but will also be set in the context of India's freedom struggle. It will depict how the Dadasaheb Phalke laid the foundation of the Indian film industry, what he struggled with, what he wanted as a dream and what were his imaginative journey.
Director Rajkumar Hirani has been working on the script of this film for the past four years with Abhijat Joshi, Hindukush Bharatdwaj and Avishkar Bharatdwaj. The script of the film has been prepared after their long hard work.
To make the visual presentation of the film historical and timely, an artificial intelligence-based design has been created with the help of a VFX studio in Los Angeles. This technology will present the real picture of that era, which will take the audience to India a century ago.
Chandrashekhar Srikrishna Pusalkar, grandson of Dadasaheb Phalke, is also actively involved in this project. He has shared many unknown stories and information about his grandfather's life with the makers of the film, which will further enhance the authenticity of the film.
Famous film analyst Taran Adarsh X (formerly Twitter) said that the shooting of the film will begin in October 2025. Earlier, Aamir Khan will start preparing for this biopic after completing the release of his next film Sitare Zameen Par.
It is worth noting that Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani had previously won the hearts of the audience by working together in the films 3 Idiots and PK. This new project has further increased the expectations of the audience about their pair.
It is hoped that this film will not only be a means of entertainment, but will also portray an important chapter in history in a new way.
