“I’m Shah Rukh”: King Khan’s Humble Met Gala Moment Wins Hearts

Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan staged a dramatic arrival at Met Gala 2025 in an exhibition-stopping black-on-black outfit by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The outfit included an exhibition-stopping long black trench coat layered over an open-necked shirt, with elaborate details in the form of exhibition-stopping accessories such as diamond-encrusted pendants with "K" and "SRK" etchings, and a cane in the shape of a tiger head, to add to his kingly persona on the Met Gala red carpet.

 Despite being one of the world’s most recognized actors, Shah Rukh experienced a humble moment when a foreign journalist asked him to introduce himself, to which he simply replied, “Hi, I’m Shah Rukh.” This modest response quickly won praise from fans worldwide for his humility.

SRK admitted to having been shy and self-conscious at the event, narrating how his designer Sabyasachi had virtually bullied him into going. He bragged about being history's first Indian male Bollywood icon to strut down the Met Gala red carpet. 

His reserved but confident demeanor and friendly interaction with the media demonstrated him to be down-to-earth, gaining for himself even more fans to his column.

Shah Rukh's sighting, attracted to the gala "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," was a tribute to Black dandyism and men's wear and added an additional symbolic element to his entrance. His fans also drew nostalgic similarities between his and Priyanka Chopra's outfit and the way they dressed in the film Don. 

The event brought forth a torrent of applause on the web, with all reveling in SRK's elegant sense of style and mannered self on this global fashion platform.
