The Panchmukhi (five-faced) form of Lord Shri Kedarnath arrived at Kedarnath Dham on foot today from the third stop, Gaurikund.
The doors of Shri Kedarnath Dham will open on tomorrow, Friday, May 2, at 7:00 AM for public darshan.
Shri Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham doors opened on Wednesday, April 30, on the holy day of Akshaya Tritiya. The doors of Shri Badrinath Dham would open on Sunday, May 4, at 6:00 AM.
As per a press release by Dr. Harish Gaur, Media In-charge of Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC), BKTC Chief Executive Officer Vijay Prasad Thapliyal has been in Kedarnath Dham since last Tuesday and is keeping an eye on the pre-yatra preparations.
In a meeting conducted today in Kedarnath Dham with the temple staff, CEO Vijay Prasad Thapliyal issued directions about the preparations for opening the temple doors.
The said meeting was presided over by Officer-in-Charge Girish Dewli, priest Bagesh Ling, Senior Administrative Officer Yaduvir Pushpawan, Vipin Tiwari, Doli In-charge Pradeep Semwal, Manager Arvind Shukla, lighting priest JE Vipin Kumar, Kuldeep Dharmwan, Lalit Trivedi, and all other officers and staff.
