Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the people of Maharashtra on the occasion of Maharashtra Day, which is celebrated every year on May 1. This day marks the formation of the state of Maharashtra in 1960, after it was separated from Bombay State on the basis of language.

In his message, PM Modi said, “When we think of Maharashtra, we remember its glorious history and the courage of its people.” He praised the state’s brave leaders and freedom fighters who played a big role in shaping the country’s future.

The Prime Minister also highlighted Maharashtra’s contribution in different areas like industry, film, agriculture, sports, and education. He said the people of Maharashtra are known for their energy, talent, and determination.

“Maharashtra has always played a strong role in building a modern and developed India,” he added.

People across the state celebrate Maharashtra Day by hoisting the national flag, holding cultural events, parades, and remembering the sacrifices made by leaders who fought for the state’s formation.

PM Modi ended his message by wishing the state more progress in the future. He said he hoped the people of Maharashtra continue to achieve new heights and bring pride to the nation.
