Ek Do Teen: Madhuri Dixit Selects Rasha Thadani to Revive the Enchantment

Madhuri Dixit, who epitomizes elegance while being one of the finest dancers in all of Bollywood, has blessed fans with ample iconic performances in her career. Ek Do Teen from Tezaab is certainly among them and is often regarded as one of the most unforgettable tracks in classic Bollywood. Even though it is decades old, the song is still talked about, celebrated, and recognized for its energy, choreography, and Madhuri’s outstanding screen persona.

With Bollywood in the midst of remaking all of its hits, it begs the question, who would do Ek Do Teen justice in today's world if it were to be recreated? Fans could most likely present a list of names, however, Madhuri herself chose Rasha Thadani, the daughter of Raveena Tandon, to bring the classic back onto the silver screen.

Recently, during the IIFA Green Carpet event, Madhuri was asked if she could name an actress, among the youngest actresses, who could recreate the magic of her iconic song. Without hesitation, she picked Rasha Thadani, noting how graceful Rasha's dance moves are. Madhuri stated, "Out of the youngest girls, I like Rasha Thadani. I think her dance is very graceful."

Rasha, who is currently in the midst of her early career after recently debuting in Bollywood in Azaad, alongside Aaman Devgn, has surely impressed everyone. Fans took notice of her dance especially, and her moves in Uyi Amma got her praise from fans, noting her rhythm and expressive moves. In addition, given her mother Raveena Tandon is a phenomenal dancer herself, it makes sense that Rasha is no different and has inherited similar skills.

Undoubtedly, recreating Ek Do Teen Returns is a tall order. As a simple addition, the original song had been remade for Baaghi 2 and had mixed reviews, and while many fans loved the original classic, many loyal fans thought the Baaghi 2 remake could not retain the magic and charm that Madhuri brought to the screen.

However, if Rasha took on the challenge, only as Rasha can, she could present fresh energy and training to make a difference. Rasha Thadani just might be able to present a tribute to Ek Do Teen and capture the essence of the original with the proper choreography and styling.
