Bigg Boss 18 Winner Karan Veer Mehra talks about being compared to the late Sidharth Shukla, Bigg Boss 13 winner. Karan’s win not only got him the trophy but also placed him in an elite club, he is only the second person after Sidharth to win both Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Throughout his Bigg Boss journey, Karan was very bold and confident. He spoke about Sidharth’s performance during the show. Karan spoke about their relationship and paid a heartfelt tribute to his friend who is no more.
Karan’s Tribute To Sidharth Shukla
Talking about their relationship, Karan said, ““Bahut acha ladka tha wo. Mera dost tha. Humne kaafi zyada time spent nahi kiya but we knew each other very well. Main khush hu ki mujhe ussey compare kiya jaa raha hai. Wo dil ka bahut bada insaan tha. He was a great guy, my friend. We didn’t spend much time together, but we knew each other well. I’m honored to be compared to him. He had a big heart.”
Karan shared an instance where he saw Sidharth’s kindness. “When I was new to Mumbai, Sidharth had an expensive bike. I asked if I could pose near it for a portfolio photoshoot. Instead of refusing, he came down, handed me the keys, and said, ‘Take photos while riding it on the back road.’ For someone to casually lend such a costly bike speaks volumes about his big heart. I miss him deeply and wish I could share this moment with him,” Karan said.

Karan’s Bigg Boss 18 journey wasn’t smooth sailing. His fellow contestants also slammed him hard, sometimes even his age and personal life. But his strong relationships and constant nature won him many hearts.
Then there was his unbreakable bond with Chum Darang. That friendship was a symbol of loyalty and support for each other which connected very well with the audience. Fans celebrated that bond throughout the season.
Whereas Karan’s fight with Vivian Dsena was the one that brought so much drama on the show. Clashes between the two kept giving high voltage moments to the audience and kept them hooked and rooting for their favorites. His courage to face challenges head on sealed his position as the winner.
