Man Dies After Falling Into Borewell in Lowermunda Qazigund

Qazigund, July 21: A tragic incident occurred in the Lowermunda area of Qazigund in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday, where a man lost his life after falling into a borewell.

According to officials, the man, identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Wagay, a resident of Damjan, Qazigund, accidentally slipped and fell into the borewell while he was attempting to fit a motor.

The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) from Qazigund rushed to the spot upon receiving information and managed to rescue him in an unconscious state.

He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital; however, doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated necessary proceedings.
