Ayodhya Ram Mandir is witnessing large number of devotees as the city is celebrating the first anniversary of Pran Pratishtha of Ram Temple.
The historic Pran Pratishtha ceremony was held on 22 January 2024 in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the main puja.
This year Pran Pratishtha will be on 11 January 2025 as per Hindu calendar. Last year it was on Kurma Dwadashi during Shukla Paksha of Paush month. So this year Shukla Paksha is on 11 January.
To mark the occasion, various spiritual and cultural programmes are being held at the temple premises.
On 11 January, the day will start with Agnihotra ceremony with Shukla Yajurveda mantras from 8 am to 11 am and 2 pm to 5 pm. Six lakh Shri Ram Mantras will be chanted and Ram Raksha Stotra and Hanuman Chalisa will be recited.
Rag Seva will be held at ground floor from 3 pm to 5 pm and congratulatory song at 6 pm. Musical recitation of Ramcharitmanas will be held at first floor of passenger convenience centre.
Ram Katha will be held at Angad Tila within the temple premises along with Ramcharitmanas and cultural programmes.
According to Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, over 2 lakh devotees visited the temple on 1 January, the first day of the year.
Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram was held on 22 January 2024 in which main puja was performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After puja, Ram Lalla was revealed.
Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir is built in Nagara style. It is 380 feet long (east-west), 250 feet wide and 161 feet high with 392 pillars and 44 doors.
Walls and pillars of the temple have beautiful sculptures of Hindu deities, gods and goddesses. In the main sanctum sanctorum on the ground floor, Shri Ram Lalla idol is of child form of Lord Ram.
Since Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla, large number of devotees are visiting Ayodhya. Hanumangarhi Temple is also seeing a big increase in daily visitors.
