Who said that he will decide the next step after discussing with experts and party colleagues!

The High Court said that the facts stated in the petition would undoubtedly require investigation, in view of the fact that the beneficiary of all these works is not an outsider but the family of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Who said that he will decide the next step after discussing with experts and party colleagues!

The Karnataka High Court dismissed his plea challenging the Governor’s approval for an inquiry against him in the site allocation case as Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday faced a setback in the alleged Mysuru land scam case.

Reacting to the development, Siddaramaiah said he was not afraid of BJP and JD(S) intrigues and “misuse” of Raj Bhavan. He also said that he would not hesitate to investigate and added that he was confident that the truth would come out.

“I will not hesitate to investigate. I will consult experts whether such an investigation is permissible in law or not. I will discuss with legal experts and decide about the outline of the fight… I am sure the truth will come out in the next few days and The inquiry under 17A will be quashed,” the Karnataka Chief Minister said in a statement.

“(I am) not afraid of BJP, JD(S) “conspiracies” and “misuse” of Raj Bhavan,” CM Siddaramaiah said. He lashed out at the NDA government saying the judicial proceedings are a fight against the vindictive politics of the Narendra Modi government. He also said that the legal battle against the vendetta politics of the BJP and JD(S) would continue.

“I believe in law and constitution. In this fight, truth will finally win. Our legal fight will continue against this politics of revenge by BJP and JDS. I have faith in the court. All our party MLAs, leaders and workers and Congress high command stand by me. And encouraged me to continue fighting for the law. BJP and JD(S) resorted to political vendetta against me because I am pro-poor and fighting for social justice,” he added.

He said that he will decide the future course of action after discussing with experts and party colleagues.

Siddaramaiah had challenged the approval given by Governor Thawarchand Gehlot to investigate him for alleged irregularities in the allotment of 14 sites to his wife by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) in a prime area.

Siddaramaiah claimed that the Governor’s sanction order was issued without due application of mind, in violation of statutory mandate. He further claimed that the order was part of a concerted effort to destabilize the duly elected government of Karnataka for political reasons.

After concluding the hearing of the petition in six sittings since August 19, a single-judge bench of Justice M Nagprasanna reserved its verdict on September 12. It also extended its August 19 interim order directing the Special Court for the Representation of the People to hear the charges against him in the case, suspending its proceedings until the petition is disposed of.

The High Court said that the facts stated in the petition would undoubtedly require investigation, in view of the fact that the beneficiary of all these works is not an outsider but the family of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
