Yellow Alert in 14 Rajasthan Districts; Rain Expected Next Week

Biting cold conditions gained momentum in Rajasthan affecting many cities including Jaipur Northern winds contributed to a reduction in minimum temperatures by 2-3 degrees Celsius.

The Indian Meteorological Department observed that rainfall is expected in the region next week while the districts of Bharatpur, Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu, and Alwar experienced cold-day conditions on Sunday.

The weather department has given a yellow warning for fog in 14 districts of the state on Saturday.

This system was almost true on Friday for Jaipur the maximum temperature being 18.5°C.

The MeT claimed that individuals may get a brief break from the extremely low temperatures by Sunday for some pleasant sunshine which tends to increase both day and night’s temperatures by 2 to 3 Degrees Celsius.

It was a clear blue sky in Mount Abu as the minimum temperatures sharply dropped to 0.8 degrees Celsius Friday.

The minimum temperature recorded was below 10 degrees Celsius in all cities except Kota and Dungarpur.

Additionally, temperature models for each district include Ajmer at 6.9 degrees Celsius; Bhilwara at 9.6  degrees Celsius; Alwar at 7.5 degrees Celsius; Sikar at four degrees Celsius; Jaisalmer at 7 degrees Celsius; Sirohi at 3.8 degrees Celsius; Mount Abu at 0.8 degree Celsius and Dausa at 7.3 degrees Celsius was recorded.

Meanwhile, Jaipur Meteorological Centre has forecasted that a western disturbance is expected to affect Rajasthan and there will be a shift in weather from January 22.

This system may cause rain and thunderlight in some regions of the Bikaner, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions.

For the period from January 20, the weather will be rainless with day and night highs slightly on the increase.
