SRINAGAR (April 22): Residents across multiple districts in Kashmir participated in candlelight vigils on Monday evening to condemn the brutal terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of 26 civilians, most of them tourists.
Demonstrations of grief and unity took place in towns including Pahalgam, Srinagar, Sopore, Ganderbal, Handwara, Kupwara, Baramulla, and Bandipora, according to officials.
Hundreds of residents gathered peacefully, holding candles and placards, as they expressed their outrage over the attack and offered solidarity with the victims and their families.
