Kulgam, July 15: A video capturing a tense moment during an Amarnath Yatra convoy movement near Qazigund — where an ailing child’s vehicle was briefly halted by security forces — has gone viral on social media, drawing widespread attention and praise for the swift and humane response by Kulgam Police.

The child’s father, Rayees Ahmad, publicly expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the police, stating that their timely intervention ensured his son received the urgent medical attention he needed.

Speaking to media, Rayees Ahmad said, “My son had been ill for a few days. While rushing him to the Qazigund hospital, our vehicle was stopped due to convoy movement. I panicked, but the Kulgam police responded quickly after learning of the situation.”

“Without wasting a second, they facilitated our movement and ensured we reached the hospital in time. Their support in that moment was truly life-saving and something I will never forget,” he added.

The widely shared video shows the anxious moments as the child’s family pleads for help, followed by the police stepping in to assist with urgency and compassion. The act has been met with praise from netizens and local residents alike, who have lauded the police for balancing duty with humanity.
