J&K Police Kathua while continuing its drive #War on Drugs putting concrete efforts to eradicate the drugs menace and in consequence J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena IPS* recovered/seized approx. 5.53 Grams of Heroin(Chitta) like narcotics at Hatli Road area of PP Hatli (P/S Kathua) & one drug peddler was arrested in this connection.
On 15.05.2025 a police team led by IC PP Hatli PSI Shubham Mahajan under the supervision of DySP Hqrs. Kathua DySP Ravinder Singh and SHO PS Kathua Insp. Sandeep Chib laid down a routine naka/patrolling in its jurisdictional area, and during naka checking they apprehended one suspect namely 1. Mohf Rafiq S/o Mohd Iqbal R/o Dodla Basohli A/P Kulian Badala Kathua who was found roaming under suspicious circumstances. On Physical search, approximately 5.53 grams of heroin (chitta) like narcotics was recovered from his illegal possession.Thereafter all the recovered narcotics approx. 5.53 grams heroin was seized and one drug peddler was arrested on the spot. On this ,a case FIR No. 237/2025 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Kathua and further investigation is under process.
