Qazigund, July 15: One person was killed and three others sustained injuries after two vehicles collided inside the Navyug tunnel on Tuesday, officials said.
An official stated that four individuals were injured in the crash, one of them critically. “All the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where the critically injured person later succumbed to his injuries,” the official added.
The deceased has been identified as Tariq Ahmad, son of Abdul Aziz Wani, a resident of Banihal and an employee of the Health Department.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
